This hand-embroidered piece was created by a woman artisan in Afghanistan and forms part of Sparks in the Dark: 260 Weeks of Resilience at the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne.

This piece is currently on display at the Shrine of Remembrance until August 2027. It can be reserved and purchased now and will be delivered after the exhibition concludes.

Each piece is handmade one of a kind, symbolising resilience, creativity and skill, while creating an opportunity for the woman behind it to earn an income and support her family.
